Meet the BRMi thought leaders

As an organization, BRMi recognizes that maintaining a vital, growing organization requires

  • regular monitoring of strategic goals,
  • aid in identifying and managing an acceptable level of business development, and
  • guidance and mentoring of executives and managers to promote ongoing professional growth.

BRMi calls on the talents and experience of a number of long-time Federal and commercial information technology executives who sit on a Board of Advisors to provide

  • strategic advice,
  • business development guidance, and
  • professional support and advice to executives and managers.

Although the BRMI Board of Advisors holds formal quarterly meetings, individual members of the board offer guidance to executives and managers on a regular basis.

Members of the BRMi Board of Advisors include:

Pat Ways

Mr. Ways is a 38-year veteran of IBM and CSC and winner of the Fed 100 Award. He is currently consulting with small businesses working in the Federal information technology sector. Mr. Ways serves as chairman of BRMi’s Board of Advisors.

Jim Flyzik

Mr. Flyzik is president of the TheFlyzikGroup and host of the monthly radio show The Federal Executive Forum on WFED, Federal News Radio. He spent many years as a Federal information technology executive at the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Treasury and other agencies.

Karen Evans

Ms. Evans is a long-time advisor to the director of the Office and Management and Budget. She was responsible for developing Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 regarding identity authentication and management, Internet Protocol Version 6 direction, cyber security, and many other information technology initiatives.

Michael Baader

Mr. Baader is currently partner-in-charge of the Baltimore office of Venable LLP, which is one of America’s Top 100 law firms. He provides counsel in technology development and licensing, outsourcing, strategic alliance and teaming arrangements, consulting and service agreements, and distributor/dealer relationships.

Kenneth Bartee

Mr. Bartee is the former president and CEO of McDonald Bradley, Inc., which was sold in 2008 to public technology firm ManTech International. His career spans more than 25 years in the information technology sector including executive positions at CSC, Innovative Systems Solutions, PSC, and General Electric.
